Attendance: Frequent continuation of absences from class without an excuse or email notification from a parent.Student has exceeded 3 unexcused absences in a timespan of a month. | First step: Email notification should be sent to parents to inquire about student absences. Admin should be cc’d on communication for proper documentation. Follow-up: Email notification should be sent once a student has 7 unexcused absences to Mrs. Iqra and Ms. Reese for administrative intervention. (note: absences do not have to be consecutive) | First step: following referral from teacher a direct call should be made by secretarial staff to inquire about absences and convey school policy.
Follow-up: If absences persist, a call directly from the principal and Zoom meeting should be scheduled as intervention. Consequence: Upon third occurrence, a follow-up meeting should be made with principal and counselor for issuance of behavior contract for attendance. |
