Administrative Actions






Attendance:  Frequent continuation of absences from class without an excuse or email notification from a parent.Student has  exceeded 3 unexcused  absences in a timespan of a  month.


First step: Email  

notification should be sent to parents to inquire about student absences. Admin should be cc’d on communication for  proper documentation. 


Follow-up: Email  

notification should be sent once a student has 7 unexcused absences to  Mrs. Iqra and Ms. Reese for  administrative intervention. (note: absences do not  have to be consecutive)

First step: following referral  from teacher a direct call  should be made by secretarial staff to inquire about absences and convey  school policy. 

 

Follow-up: If absences  persist, a call directly from the principal and Zoom meeting  should be scheduled as  intervention.  


Consequence: Upon third  occurrence, a follow-up  meeting should be made  with principal and  

counselor for issuance of  behavior contract for attendance.










Attendance: Student 

attends class but exits in  and out frequently, or repeatedly leaves virtual  classroom without permission or valid reason after verbal warning by  teacher has been given in  class and email form.



First step: Provide a verbal  warning to student in or after class and send an email notice immediately to parent by teacher with admin cc’d on it. 


Follow-up: email  

notification should be sent to schedule PTC during  oFice hours to discuss  concerns with parent and  student. Also, complete an  incident report form. 


Consequence: if behaviors  persist then administrative  intervention should be  sought from the principal and  an immediate email should  be sent for support. 

First step: Following referral  from teacher a direct call  should be made by  

principal to inquire about  attendance issue and  

convey school policy.  


Follow-up: If behavior 

persist, a call directly from the principal and Zoom meeting  should be scheduled as  intervention.  


Consequence: Upon third  occurrence, a follow-up  meeting should be made with the principal and counselor for issuance of a behavior contract for attendance.








Behavior: defiance against  teacher with listening to classroom rules, keeping  camera off for inexcusable reasons and/or attitude  with teacher has persisted  after verbal warning has  been given in class and  email notice has been sent  to parent.



First step: provide a verbal  warning to student in and

after class. Send an email notification immediately to the parent after class  and complete an incident  report form. 



  Follow-up: email  

notification should be sent to schedule PTC during  oFice hours to discuss  concerns with parent and  student. 





Consequence: if behaviors  persist then administrative intervention should be  sought from the principal and  an immediate email should  be sent for support.

Behavior: student is using  poor online netiquette with  peers and misuses chats to  cause disruption in class  and engage others with  inappropriate behavior has  persisted after verbal warning has been given and email notice has been sent to parent.

First step: provide a verbal  warning to students in and  after class. Send an email  notification immediately to the parent after class  and complete an incident  report form. 


Follow-up: email  

notification should be sent to schedule PTC during  oFice hours to discuss  concerns with parent and  student. 


Consequence: if behaviors  persist then administrative intervention should be  sought from the principal and  an immediate email should  be sent for support.

Behavior: student has  violated code of conduct  and misused chat, email, or  school communication to  bully other students.

First step: provide a verbal  warning to students in and  after class. Send an email  notification immediately to the parent after class  and complete an incident  report form.

persist, a call directly from the principal and Zoom meeting should be scheduled as intervention.

counselor for issuance of  behavior contract. 

Administrative intervention  may be sought for review  before conducting a behavior  committee when needed.









Behavior: student violates  dress code rules and regulations for virtual classes.

First step: provide a verbal  warning to student in or  after class and send an  email notice immediately to  parent by teacher with  

admin cc’d on it.

Academics: student  

persistently does not  

participate in class  

assignments and/or  

activities.

First step: encourage  

student to participate in  class and speak to students after class. Send an email  notification to parents to  document discussion.

principal to convey violation and school policy.  





Follow-up:

send 2nd email notification to parent, and  schedule PTC during office

hours to discuss concerns  with parents and students. 


Consequence: email

behaviors persist then  

administrative intervention  should be sought from the principal.

Academics: If student  

persistently does not  

complete classwork or  homework assignments and are failing classes.

First step: send an email  notification immediately to  parent cc’ admin on  

communication.  


Follow-up: send 2nd email  notification and schedule PTC during oFice hours to  discuss concerns with  

parent and student. 






Consequence: if behaviors  persist then administrative  intervention should be  sought from principal  

and/or counselor.

Academics: student is  caught plagiarizing work on  one or multiple occasions either by copy/paste,  

submission of someone  else's assignment, or clear  use of artificial intelligence  (AI). 

First step: send an 

immediate email to parent and principal. Complete an incident report form. 


Follow-up: send 2nd email  notification to schedule  PTC during oFice hours and discuss concerns with  parent, student and  

principal. 


Consequence: if behaviors  persist then administrative  intervention should be  sought from principal and  counselor for academic  contract.

First step: following referral  from teacher a direct call  should be made by  

principal to convey violation and school policy.  


Follow-up: If behavior 

persist, a call directly from the principal and Zoom meeting  should be scheduled as  intervention.  


Consequence: Upon third  occurrence, a follow-up  meeting should be made  with principal and  

counselor for issuance of  behavior contract. Administrative intervention  may be sought for review  before conducting a behavior  committee when needed.










Academics: student is suspected and/or has been  caught cheating on quizzes,  exams, and/or assessments.

First step: provide a verbal warning to students in chat.  Send an email notification  immediately to the parent and principal for a meeting request. Complete an 

incident report form. 


Follow-up: send 2nd email  notification with principal  included and schedule  follow-up meeting with  parent, student, and  

principal. 


Consequence: if behaviors  persist then administrative  intervention should be  sought for review before  conduct behavior  

committee.
